Enjoy the little things, for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things.
We often get so busy in our daily schedules that always forget about the little things that matter and make us happy. So this time, we decided to spread some happiness by showing you how to make and keep your own happiness jar.
Every day you think of one thing that makes you happy, it could be something that happened that very day, or it could be anything else as simple as seeing someone you were really close to after a long time.
The trick is, write something down that makes you happy and simply put it inside the jar. You can open the jar whenever you want. Most people open it during New Year’s, but that’s no compulsion. You could write something today and open it back tomorrow, depending on when you need to be reminded to be happy and feel blessed.
If you’d like to share it with your family, ask them to contribute their happiness notes into the jar too, and you all can then go back and read it as a big happy family! (or a small one)
Reading the messages when life gets tough is the best part of this DIY. Your past happiness will comfort you and give you hope that there’s more to come. It will also remind you that happiness is found within moments along a journey, it’s not a destination, it’s all the experiences you go through in order to reach that destination.
