Mercury in Retrograde?! That’s it! Turn off your phones, lower down on all communications, escape to Narnia! Don’t talk to anyone!
This is what ideal Mercury in Retrograde situation sounds like.
Mercury is the planet that is responsible for all our communication, travel, love, relationships, and career. Three or four times a year, Mercury goes retrograde for a few weeks at a time. When Mercury goes retrograde, it means that the planet appears to be traveling backwards in the system. So, when we’re experiencing Mercury Retrograde, it feels as if our lives are going backwards.
Technical failures, blockages in relationships, any kind of obliteration in the family, delays in projects, are some of the things that are bound to happen during this time. But we say, Mercury in Retrograde doesn’t have to be all that bad! I’ve come up with a cheat-sheet for you in order to smoothly go through this transition phase and use Mercury-in-Retrograde to your advantage!
- Check before you step foot – Sometimes, you actually have to go backwards in order to move forward. This is where you can use Mercury in retrograde to your best advantage. Normally when you have last minute project plans or travel plans, there is no time to double check. So this time, check before and after your draft is ready. Now that you know you might be prone to delays, review, revise, and reflect on your plans.
- Reconnect with your higher-self – Since things are going to be moving slower than usual, this is your chance to connect to your spiritual self. Slow down and think carefully about what is most important to you. Where are your goals aligned, what can you do to manifest your desires, and what is it that you need to the most or the least in your life right now.
- Be humble in your communication- During this time, you don’t want to have unnecessary fights with people you love the most. So just think before you speak, remember that wires might get crossed, what you say might be misinterpreted, just be clear and straight-forward. Try giving the other person the benefit of doubt and understand before being understood.
- End before you begin – Agreed this might not be the right time to start new projects, but it’s definitely a good time to tie up any loose ends. Finish the projects you had started, gain closure about things you haven’t done or finished from clients, family, friends, or lovers and make sure you finish them all by the end of the Mercury in Retrograde.
So, say buh-bye to chills Mercury in Retrograde gave you before, and boss over it this season!
This was it for the believers. For the non-believers, y’all hang in there! Sit back and relax, and if any delays happen, you know why and whom to thank!
